Pioneering Global Hand Protection, Empowering the Future with Standards： The International Standard ISO/TS 5462 spearheaded by Xingyu has been Officially Published

On August 27, 2025, the press conference for International Standard ISO/TS 5462, themed "Pioneering Global Hand Protection, Empowering the Future with Standards", rubber latex coated fabric gloves - specification, was held in Gaomi, jointly hosted by the Weifang Municipal Administration for Market Regulation & the Gaomi Municipal People's Government, organized by the Gaomi Municipal News Office, Gaomi Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the National Technical Committee on Rubber and Latex Products, and Xingyu Safety Tech Group.
The conference brought together government, industry association leaders, domestic and international standardization experts, and media representatives to witness this significant moment. This convention not only represents an important milestone in the development of Xingyu Safety Tech Group, but also highlights China’s growing influence in global personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
Standards as a Bridge: Shaping the Future of the Safety Industry
The event began with a welcome speech by Mr. Zhou Xingyu, the Chairman of Xingyu Safety Tech Group. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the leaders, experts, guests, and media representatives in attendance. He stated that the Group has always adhered to innovation as its engine and standards as its foundation, actively integrating into the global industrial chain and standards ecosystem. As the primary drafting unit, Xingyu's spearheading of the development of this ISO international standard—a six-year endeavor—not only demonstrates its technical expertise and industry leadership in functional hand protection field, but also exemplifies the steadfast transition from "Made in China" to "Intelligently Created in China".
Mr. Dong Guangming, Secretary of the Gaomi Municipal Committee, highlighted Gaomi’s strong manufacturing foundation and commitment to transformation and upgrading and standardization, continuously improving its business environment. The newly published ISO international standard systematically demonstrates China's long-term technical heritage and industrial practice in this field, transforming "Chinese experience" into international consensus, filling a gap in the international standards for such products, and represents a major breakthrough in the globalization of standards for hand safety protection.
Mr. Lei Limin, President of the China Textile Commerce Association, praised Xingyu’s efforts in promoting industry standardization and internationalization. He emphasized that the profound value of standards empowerment lies not only in unifying technical specifications and enhancing product quality, but also in restructuring the industrial value ecosystem and steering the development trajectory of the industry. The fact that a Chinese enterprise could spearhead the development of an international standard demonstrates its world-leading capabilities in technical R&D, quality control, and market applications.
Innovation as the Engine: Opening a New Chapter in Global R&D
During the conference, the "White Paper on the Implementation of the ISO International Standard for Fabric-Dipped Latex Gloves" was released. This document provides a detailed interpretation of the standard’s content, development process, and practical application guidelines, offering authoritative technical guidance for global manufacturers and testing institutions.
As the world’s largest standards organization, ISO standards are regarded as a "passport for international trade." The release of this standard marks China’s transition from products export to standards export, breaking long-standing foreign dominance in this field and establishing Chinese technical specifications as international norms. This not only significantly elevates the influence and competitiveness of "Made in China" within the global value chain, but also propels a critical shift from "Made in China" to "Led by China."
The press conference culminated with the unveiling ceremony of the "Xingyu Global R&D Center," pushing the event to its climax! The Center was officially unveiled under the joint witness of participating leaders, authoritative industry experts, partners, and corporate executives. It will integrate global R&D resources and dedicate itself to the development of new materials, innovative processes, and intelligent protective products, which marks Xingyu's official entry into a new development phase characterized by technology-driven leadership and global collaboration, injecting strong momentum into the company's high-quality development.
